It’s been awhile since I last posted, oops… Catch up– my internship in LA wrapped up this week (it was amazing), and I got back to my hometown this morning. I somehow managed to surprise my brother with balloons at school, run a bunch of errands, drop off donuts after his polo practice, go to my high school’s football game, and still have enough energy to have friends over. WHEW.
Anyways, I (finally) made it home and five of my closest friends from high school came over. It had been way too long since the six of us were all together, and it was absolutely perfect. We adventured to Safeway so the boys could get healthy “munchie” food, and I have never laughed so hard in the produce aisle. They were higher than kites and it was just a complete disaster, but in the most hysterically funny way possible. Afterwards we just hung out at my house and talked, but we told hilarious old (ancient, really) stories and completely over-shared in the personal information department (“Hey, what was your Social Security Number again?”). I’m not home much anymore, but it was hilarious, heart-warming, and much needed. I know you meet your “best friends” in college, but it felt so refreshing to come home to a group of people who know me way better than I know myself.
Nostalgia is a funny thing.
